We are glad to announce a solo exhibition by Belfast Artist Jim McDonald. Jim’s depictions of Belfast City life remind us of a time gone by. Jims' Shipyard paintings are particularly poignant illustrating the friendship and camaraderie that existed around the yard. This is a particularly special exhibition as the opening night will also officially see the launch of a set of Royal Mail stamps depicting Jim’s paintings of RMS Titanic and SS Nomadic. This is a particularly special tribute to one of Ireland’s finest figurative painters. Jims work has also been praised by Belfast City council who used Jim’s paintings for their recent Titanic Exhibition, purchasing one for their own collection.
Renowned Artist, Gladys MacCabe is also an admirer of Jims work.
